HOW FAR CAN IT GO?
You can expect 120kms on the average kiwi open road in this Leaf, depending on the condition. From our experience, this is a good average figure.

In the urban setting, you can expect 140-150kms in this Leaf. This higher range is because of the regenerative braking system and EVs use less charge in the urban setting.

HOW DO I CHARGE IT?
The Leaf has two charging ports. One is an AC Type 1 port. This port is used for slow charging at home. Included in the purchase price of the vehicle is a brand new NZ 3 pin 10A Charger. This can be plugged in at home and will charge the vehicle overnight in around 10hrs to max charge.

The second port is a DC CHAdeMO port. This is used for DC fast charging. You can charge up at 50kW from 0-80% at any fast charging station in around 20mins. A map of where these stations are available is on Plugshare, google for more info.

For an extra $1000, you can upgrade the charger included with the car to be a 16A Charger. The car will charge up in 6hrs on a caravan socket. It is possible to get this wired up at home. This upgrade includes a 16A to 10A converter which will allow you to plug this upgraded charger into a 3pin at home.
